As you know from previous posts we are huge Haines fans and give our utmost and sincerest apologies to his family. He is survived by his loving wife Cynthia and his boys who are big lacrosse fans. This weekends Mens NCAA lacrosse championship should be dedicated to the greatest anchor in CNBC history.
His knack for knowing the markets truly was amazing as he silently was able to call the NASDAQ bubbles top and he also was able to call the now famous Haines Bottom.
Mark Haines said he had a few more years to push in him since he was a part of CNBC since day one and without Mark CNBC will never be the same for his utmost and brutal honesty and we will never forget the time he wouldn't comment and develop the story on the American Companies getting bailed out as he had a Jeff Macke like brutal honesty to him.
Mark we are truly saddened and will never forget all of the wonderful years I was able to spend working at the hedge fund and watching you and Erin every morning. Squawk will never be the same ever again.
