So if we had to decide when the world was coming to an end we would probably go with 2011 not the Mayan predictions of 2012 the reason being that the events that have unfolded thus far in the first few months of 2011 have been daunting, deadly, and outright scary.

Bombing in Jerusalem
Earthquake in Australia
Earthqauke in Japan
Followed by Tsunami
Followed by Nuclear Reactor problems
Can the second half of the year really compete with this?
